IFs are positive, full of invention,

blind eyed optimists with the best of intentions.

How it Works

IF is a children’s narrative written in rhyming verse.

A book parents will enjoy performing as much as kids will enjoy hearing — exciting to independent readers 9-12, ready for richer language and sly humor.

IF

Once a month, the town of Middle brings its new ideas for a better future before Charlie Boovay, the greatest "no" man alive. And once a month, he crushes their hopes with a single word, “No”. All on behalf of his boss, the money obsessed Mr. G. who fears anyone advancing but himself.

Then ten-year-old Bean O'Shay arrives with a box he built himself, and demonstrates that with the single magical word, IF, you can undo a lifetime of NO.

IF is an illustrated narrative poem, written in verse for solo readers and family read-alouds — designed to reward the adults doing the reading as well as delight the listeners.

Inside the world of IF:

If Pigs had wings…

If frogs could sing…

If the world froze over…
